A smoke detector or smoke alarm is a device that detects smoke and issue an alarm to alert nearby people that there is a potential fire.
An estimated 890 lives could be saved each year if all homes had working smoke alarms.

CPR & First Aid Classes You must register, and pay in advance, for any First Aid or CPR class. This can be done prior to the date of the class at the Port Angeles Fire Department, during regular business hours.
Classes will be held at the Fire Department station located at 102 East 5th Street in Port Angeles.
CPR & AED Classes This is a 3 to 4 hour class covering adult CPR and AED
Cost: $20.00 per person Time: 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. 2012 Schedule

Basic First Aid Classes This is an eight-hour class covering basic first aid, adult CPR,
child/infant CPR and AED. Cost: $45.00 per person. Class Time is: 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
