Strategic Plan
Prepared and completed by members of the PenCom Advisory board, and reflects the unanimous approval of all involved.
Plan Highlights :
PenCom's mission statement calls for providing for the maximum safety of residents of the community.
All goals and action steps have been assigned with persons to be held accountable for each step's completion.
In Goal No. 1:
The Advisory Board feels that PenCom's current system should be improved. It first calls for the evaluation of the current system before any changes are made.
Goal No. 2:
Information must be disseminated quickly and consistently. The Advisory Board will research current systems and conduct surveys before determining direction.
Goal No. 3:
PenCom needs reasonable standards of performance, in order to measure how well they are doing in the future, and if and when changes need to be made.

Peninsula Communications exists to provide immediate public access, to gather critical information, and to provide rapid dispatch of police, fire and emergency medical professionals to enhance the safety of the community.

1. Peninsula Communications will evaluate current systems
Form Technical Assistant Group (interdisciplinary) to analyze current system.
Obtain PSWN report and recommendations.
Composition of Technological Assistance Group will include OPSCAN and non-stakeholders with technical background
Complete report which includes evaluation of current systems. Report will include strengths, weaknesses of the current system, and future options.
2. Prepare and write plan to develop communications system, with persons accountable and deadlines.
